There are two options to become eligible for the CHFI exam:

If you are undergoing training through an approved academic institution, you will be eligible to write the exam once the training is complete.

If you have gained a minimum of 2 years’ worth of experience in information security, you will be eligible to sit the exam without undertaking the training, if you so wish."
