ECDL Database - Advanced
Internationally recognised qualification accredited by the
British Computer Society in the UK.

Aim:
ECDL Advanced - Database is for the individual who uses database applications to create a database, then organise, extract, view and report on data using what is deemed to be advanced data management skills, and wishes to prove that their level of skill is beyond that of a basic user.

Length of Study:
18 weeks with tutor support.

Entry Requirements:
Candidates should have successfully completed Module 5 of the ECDL course, or have equivalent practical experience.

Contents:
Table Design, Using Queries, Linking Forms for Multiple Usage, Creating Reports, Macros, Importing and Exporting Data, Linking Data, Layout, Special Tools.

Study Mode:
This course may be studied at home or in the workplace on a self-study basis, but with additional support from a personal tutor.

Assessment:
This course is assessed by a practical examination, which must be taken at Reid Kerr college, or another accredited test centre.

Comments:
Candidates require access to Microsoft Office 2007. The exams will be completed on-line at Reid Kerr College or another accredited test centre. Students will have access to computer facilities at Reid Kerr by arrangement for additional support.

Cost:
£110 this includes all tutor support and materials as well as one attempt at the examination. There is a charge of £10 for a resit. There is a charge to students claiming a fee waiver of £40 for the examination fee.
