Content / Overview:
Economics helps you understand what's really happening in the news. The course covers issues such as the environment, poverty, the impact of tourism and the euro. Assessment is by multiple choice and data response questions, with longer questions in the second year. Students learn through discussion, analysis of data, preparing presentations, speakers and visits. Last year students really enjoyed the learning experience and meeting some of the country's leading economists. Results are excellent. Many students progress to degrees in economics or related subjects, leading to a range of careers including accountancy.
