About this course
The Economics IGCSE Course is designed to follow the structure of the Edexcel 4EC1 specification and is divided into four separate modules. This home study course will help you develop your knowledge as you are taken on a tour of the world of economics, exploring topical issues that affect each one of us every day.
Economics is concerned with the interdependent behaviour of consumers, producers and governments as they allocate and distribute scarce resources. Economics involves the investigation of the allocation of scarce resources to the production and distribution of income and wealth. Business provides an important context in which economists study resource allocation.
Each lesson of the Economics IGCSE course begins with a set of clearly stated objectives and an explanation of its place in the overall programme of study. The home study course consists of 4 lessons in total with 9 tutor marked assignments (TMAs) including 2 practice Exam assignments.
