We've developed this programme for experienced clinicians from all disciplines who are already in, or want to move into, a teaching role. This programme is validated by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and allows registered nurses and midwives to become qualified teachers with the NMC.
With this qualification you'll be able to pursue an educator role within your practice. You'll also be able to teach in higher education. You may be able to combine roles and continue as a practitioner as well as being a lecturer or trainer.

You will have gained the status of a qualified teacher and you will meet the standards for Fellowship of Advance HE/HEA.
When you finish this course, you'll have proven skills in teaching within your professional practice. You'll also be qualified to teach in Higher Education. You will be able to advance in your career within your existing workplace or branch out into an academic institution.
