LEVEL 5: DIPLOMA IN EDUCATION & TRAINING (DET) COURSE

Candidates who successfully complete this qualification will take an analytical and practical approach to all aspects of planning, delivering and assessing inclusive teaching and learning. Whilst doing this, candidates will embed theories and principles in education and training and demonstrate them in their practice.

This qualification is equivalent to the UK bachelor’s degree and is suitable for trainers, teachers, and tutors who intend to work or already working in further education, university, training centre, college, adult and community learning or work-based training within public, private, community organisations or voluntary sectors. It prepares trainee teachers to teach in a wide range of contexts and requires observation and assessment of practice.

Who are learners who have already achieve some Learning and Development units that can be counted in this qualification
Who are assessors who wish to achieve a teaching/training qualification

Candidates who like to complete this course must have completed Level 3 Award in Education & Training or former Level 3/4 PTLLS Course (C&G 6302 or 6502). Candidates for this course must have access to 100 hours of teaching and should have a good standard of verbal communications skills.
