Electrical/Electronic Engineering BTEC Higher National Diploma Level 4

About the course:
This course is designed for technical students who have achieved the National Certificate in Electrical or Electronic Engineering and wish to progress into Higher Education.

Course Content:
The BTEC HNC is a 10-unit qualification of which 5 are core units. The first year of the programme is common; the second year can be tailored with an Electronics or Electrical bias to suit the need of the student. First year units include;· Business Management· Engineering Science· Analytical Methods (Maths)· Electrical and Electronic Principles· Electrical, Electronic and Digital Principles· Health, Safety and Risk

Equipment Requirements:
You will be required to supply your own paper, pens, ruler & calculator to enable participation in all theory classes.

Assessment:
There are no formal examinations but the completion of course assignments is ongoing throughout to monitor the learners' progress and understanding in order to achieve a successful outcome.

Progression:
With further study this qualification can lead to a Foundation Degree.

Additional Information:
Attendance - one day per week for 2 years. If you are on a qualifying means tested benefit the tuition fees for some courses can be reduced, however you will still need to pay for Exams and Administration costs. You must claim tuition fee remission with proof before enrolment.
