Electrician Training

The Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) has forecast that the UK will need at least 37,000 new qualified electricians over the next five years to plug the skills shortage.

As a qualified electrician, your earning potential will be well above the national average. Typically, employed electricians can expect to earn in the region of £35,000 per annum with self employed electricians often achieving earnings in the region of £50,000.

You can expect to recieve industry recognised qualifications as detailed below:

City & Guilds 2382 (17th Edition IEE Wiring Regs)
Logic Part P (Defined & Full Scope)
PAT Certification (Portable Appliance Testing)

Your course will cover......

The electrician training course is varied and covers many subject. Our ultimate aim is to provide training that will leave you feeling knowledgable and confident. Subjects covered include:-

· Electrical concepts.
· Earthing arrangements and protective coatings.
· Control and protective equipment.
· Termination cables and flexible cords.
· Installing PVC cables.
· Visual electrical safety checks.
· PAT testing.
· Pre-work survey and inspections.
· Installing and replacing components.
· Electrical test results and completing certificates.
· Installing and re-routing electrical cables.
· Installing domestic light circuits.
· Basic understanding of 3 phase supplies.
· Carrying out domestic electrical upgrades.
· Chasing out walls for cables.
· Making good to building finish standard.

This level of qualification will enable you to work as a plumber on an employed or self-employed basis.
