The Programme
Course has high technical content, suitable for those looking for a career in the electronic arts. A one year programme, equivalent to one A Level. Can be carried through to a second year to convert to two A Levels. You will need to develop:
> design and graphical skills
> programming skills
> ability to produce detailed written reports
Assessment by coursework.
Should be combined with another qualification such as AS Maths, AS Computing, AS ICT, AS Graphics and AS Art.

Unit 69 Object oriented design for computer games

Progression / Careers
After the first year, we would expect you to do a second year on the course. After this, the recommended progression is to a university degree. There are many degrees to choose from, including computer science, web development, multimedia or games programming.
Career options include Programming, Games Design, Games Programming, Web Development, Multimedia Authoring or Computer Animation.
