Understand the role and responsibilities of a first aider, be able to assess an incident, be able to manage an unresponsive casualty who is breathing, be able to deal with poisoning along with dealing with a road traffic accident where victims are wearing helmets and managing their airway. be able to manage a casualty with external bleeding and understand the administration of oxygen.
Course Objectives
Delegates will gain the knowledge, skills and competences needed to deal with a wide range of pre-hospital medical emergencies, such as managing a patient's airway, catastrophic bleeding and fractures. After completing the course, delegates attending an incident will be able to provide trauma pre-hospital care. when arriving at the scene of an incident.
