Emergency Service Training and Assessment
Course Objectives:
Specific areas covered are emergency actions involved in dealing with gas escapes and the installation of gas meters.
A variety of meter installation courses are available ranging from domestic-sized meters up to large capacity diaphragm and rotary meters.
What training courses and ACS assessments are available?
- CMA2LS - Generic core competencies common to limited scope meter CESP1 work, emergency service provider work and core CMA1 domestic and commercial meter work.
- CESP1 - Specific core competencies relating to the installation and CMA1 tightness testing of outlet pipework and re-establishing gas supplies and relighting appliances.
- CoDNESP1 - Changeover NG to Emergency Service Provider.
- ICPN1 - Install low pressure (not exceeding 75mbar) pipework and fittings in commercial premises.
- MET2 - Install, exchange, remove and commission domestic gas meters.
- CMET1 - Installing and replacing low pressure diaphragm with bypass and rotary displacement meter without bypass with badge capacities exceeding 6m3/hr but not exceeding 1076m3/hr.
- TPCP1 - Strength testing, tightness testing and direct purging of industrial and commercial installation pipework not exceeding 16 bar.
- TPCP1A - Strength testing, tightness testing and direct purging of small low pressure NG industrial and commercial installation pipework not exceeding 40mbar. Installation volume not exceeding 1m3.
- MET 3LS - Install and commission new fix primary domestic gas meters.
- MET 4 - Install, exchange, remove and commission diaphragm type gas meters.
