How you will be taught

You will attend lectures and seminars and will be encouraged to participate in discussion of the chosen topic. Provision will be made for personal study time and students are expected to use this to increase their knowledge and understanding of endodontology and prepare for assessments.

Practical skills will be taught first using a combination of natural and plastic teeth in a laboratory. Clinical skills will be further developed by treating patients under supervision.

You will be expected to write up and present your completed cases on a regular basis

How you will be assessed

Assessment will be comprised of a one-hour written short-answer examination for each taught module.

You will carry out a research project related to endodontology and produce a typed and bound dissertation. This will include a critical review of the literature. It is anticipated that the proportion of time spent on the research project should be approximately 25% of the course.
