The School of Engineering, Physics & Mathematics offers a wide range of innovative degrees plus professionally-accredited traditional degrees, at BSc, BEng, MEng, MSci, MSc, MRes, PGDip and PhD levels, via our divisions.

Description

The University of Dundee’s core mission is to transform lives locally and globally through the creation, sharing and application of knowledge.

Our strengths in research and teaching have led to the University being named as one of the UK’s top 30 universities in the Times/Sunday Times Good University Guide 2019, consistently achieving a top 10 place in the UK for student experience (National Student Survey 2018) and awarded Gold - the highest possible rating - in Teaching Excellence (UK Teaching Excellence Framework).

Our research is top in Scotland with more than 90% of research outputs in Engineering, Mathematics and Computer Science graded by the Research Excellence Framework 2014 as either three or four star, meaning ‘quality that is world-leading or internationally excellent in terms of originality, significance and rigour.’ We were placed 3rd in the UK for Civil Engineering, 7th in General Engineering, 8th in Mathematics and 22nd in Computer Science & Informatics.
