The BTEC Level 3 90 Credit Diploma is one year standalone full time Engineering course. It provides the opportunity to develop knowledge and skills in the design, development and manufacture and maintenance of engineering products and systems. The course is both practical, and work related and follows a manufacturing pathway developed by BTEC.

Learning is achieved through the completion of projects and assignments based on realistic workplace situations, activities and demands. The course will require elements of home study and some assessments will take the form of tests. The course is suitable for school leavers and young adults.

GCSE grade 6 (B) in Mathematics and Science and three other GCSEs grade 4 (C) including English Language, alternatively a BTEC Level 2 in Engineering (overall Grade Merit) with Merits in the Mathematics and Science units, and GCSE grade 4 (C) in both English Language and Mathematics.
