Programme Area: Engineering

Description:
This course is suitable if you are on an advanced modern apprenticeship programme, or if you want to show you have the supporting knowledge for an NVQ course. You may also want to develop your career within the engineering industry or want to carry on studying after gaining a level 2 qualification. You will complete three core units ?working effectively and safely in an engineering environment? and ?engineering principles and practice? and ?principles of mechanical manufacturing engineering? and optional units including hydraulic systems and components, pneumatic systems and components, turning, milling, computer aided design and applied maths & science.

Progression:
City & Guilds level 4 or BTEC national certificate.
