Course programme

Our English Language and Culture course offers a great opportunity to take an educational holiday and experience life in a UK university. You will have full access to our university’s facilities and we are just a short walk away from the beautiful and historical city centre of Cambridge.

The course includes 12 hours of language and cultural classes, day trips to popular tourist attractions and local visits in and around Cambridge.

The classes include a range of general English skills including fluency and pronunciation, reading, listening and writing skills, and grammar and vocabulary. There will also be seminars on a variety of cultural topics including British class systems and the Royal Family and British cuisine.

We use interactive teaching methods to make classes fun and help develop your confidence in communicating in English. You will also have lots of opportunities to practice your English outside of the classroom, on the various organised activities and day trips.

As a student at Anglia Ruskin you will have full access to all our university facilities including the library, our fully equipped multi-media language centre and social facilities. During your free time you will be welcome to use these facilities to further support your English language development.

Being based in the heart of Cambridge, you will have free time to explore the beautiful and historic city. As well as attend organised day trips to popular UK tourist attractions such as Stratford-Upon-Avon, Warwick, London or Oxford.
