Who is the course for?
The course is designed for anyone interested in improving their reading and writing skills, or anyone who would like the qualification for career progression.

What is the course about?
The study of language and literature. Close analysis of language is combined with the study of modern and pre-twentieth century literature, including Shakespeare. The course also builds on writing skills including sentence and paragraph construction.

Will I need anything else?
No specialist equipment required.

How long & often do I attend?
Students attend one session a week, either during the day or in an evening class.

How will I be assessed?
Assessment is through a mixture of coursework and exams.

What opportunities will this lead to?
GCSE English can lead to A Level study, and is an entry requirement for other level 3 courses and a variety of careers.
