Course programme

We use the theme to design a week of English language study which includes all the traditional elements of speaking, listening, reading, writing, vocabulary and grammar as well as cultural knowledge and experience. We use the themes to make your learning more memorable and experiential which we believe are important in language learning.

A new theme starts each week and groups can change every Monday. You have the chance to work with different people and do new things each week.

During the week, you will do a range of activities.

Each Wednesday, you will go on a day trip by coach with teachers from The Language Academy. We give you every opportunity to practise your English on these trips and to deepen your knowledge and understanding of the culture around you.

Each Friday, you will do a mini presentation. Your teacher will prepare you for this during the week and the presentations/performances/products are based on work that you do during that week. Feedback from students tells us that this is one of the most memorable

Parts of a student’s course and everybody works hard to do their best. Your teacher will give you individual written feedback on your presentation/performance.

Weekly Routines/Timetable each week follows the same general routine and timetable with classes running at the same times etc.. We have a Social Programme which also follows the same pattern although Social Sports does different sports depending on people’s interests.
