Ric has been and English language teacher since 2000, and gained an MA in teaching in 2007. He is an Associate Tutor at Surrey University, and an examiner. He specialises in training speaking skills, especially pronunciation and accent reduction.

Course programme

1. How to use your voice effectively and speak clearly, including breathing and articulation exercises.
2. The 44 sounds (phonemes) of English: how to form them correctly, how to avoid confusion with other sounds, and how they are different from spelling.
3. The sentences of English: how to use stress, rhythm and intonation to shape a sentence, show the structure of a senetnce and make yourself more clearly understood.
