The aim of the English skills course is to identify what you currently know, and provide you with different ways of using your English Skills.
On this course you will:

Gain a better understanding of the principles and practice of written and spoken English

This is the ideal course for individuals who would like to develop and enhance their English skills. This course aims to provide the learner with the foundations of how the English language is structured. Each unit studied will aid your learning and help to build your confidence in a number of areas.
You don't need any prior skills in the subject area to start this course.
At the end of this course successful learners will be awarded a Certificate of Achievement by ABC Awards.

Unit 1: Spelling
Unit 2: Grammar and Punctuation

Each unit in this course is broken down into 3 sections including:
Section 1 – English Guide
Section 2 – Mock Assessment
Section 3 – Assessment
- Your second language is English and you have reasonable skills already
- You find communicating by letter or email difficult
- Your report writing needs improvement
- You feel your Grammar lets you down
Each unit is followed by a written tutor marked assignment (TMA), which is submitted and then marked by your tutor. You will not be required to take an external exam.
