Course Aims:
* To raise the profile of people who have Epilepsy
* To address attitudes towards people who have Epilepsy
* To improve the quality of care of people who have Epilepsy
* To facilitate the development of services for people who have Epilepsy
* To develop knowledge and understanding of people working with People who have Epilepsy
* To provide a platform for continuous professional debate on Epilepsy issues
Learning Outcomes:
* Gain a working understanding of Epilepsy
* Gain knowledge and understanding of contributing factors
* Gain an in-depth knowledge of the quality/duty of care
* Gain knowledge of risk assessment
* Gain a working knowledge of medicines and their administration
* Gain an understanding of emergency intervention and be able to action as necessary
* To be able to contribute effectively in debates concerning Epilepsy issues
Upon successful completion of this course, the candidate will be certificated by JRCS Training in accordance with the JEC & NSE. This course will also give the delegate evidence towards NVQ and preparation for further study.
