Course programme

At Sadlers Wells, you will be using watercolour sketchbooks and a range of monochrome and colour drawing materials to make rapid sketches and visual notes of the dancers in motion. Emphasis will be on capturing ‘the essence of movement’ using the drawn mark and a range of materials.
The course will include a visit to look at examples of artists working in this genre. Back in the City lit studios, you will be able to develop your sketches, notes and ideas from the sketching workshop into watercolours that reflect your personal response.
