Italian Language Homestay Immersion in Italy

What I would highlight:
I love my time with Antonella. During my staying at her comfortable flat, I improved my grammar with her clear explanations; she is a truly creative teacher. Her hospitality (and cooking) were wonderful, we visited many interesting places of the Italian culture. I spent too short a time there - wish I could have done two weeks.

What I would highlight:
I wanted to share my experience in Trieste with Paola, and with Monica close to Venice. Both families were very friendly and welcoming and the language instruction was useful at both cities. But I would that Paola can receive more people since experience there was perfect and that she takes her responsibility as teacher. Also, her family is wonderful and there location in the center of Trieste is ideal.

I’ve enjoyed my time with Christiane a lot. My progress has increased within the past two weeks thanks to the hours of instruction, specially the time we had at meals when we put into practice what I was learning. The flexibility she showed also allowed me to see some sights in the area of lovely Menthon. Anyone looking to learn French in a beautiful natural surrounding would love this place.

I came back from Italy recently and I wanted to say I’ve learnt more in these two weeks than I did in the past five years. Marina was an excellent instructor, she had some very interesting techniques for help people learn. It was a pleasure. A lot of work, but quite enjoyable. I’ll definitely recommend this program.

Joanna is a very friendly and patient person. She helped me a lot in my preparation of my plays as we shared daily activities. You need a car in Titirang, there isn't much public transport running. But Joanna and her husband made other time memorable.

What I would highlight:
Marco was very friendly. We had meals together and once had an enjoyable evening with his family. I went with him to attend errands too while we exchange conversations. He focused on grammar; this was useful for me and my wife. She knew that I wanted to have an entire week during which time I heard and spoke only Italian.

What I would highlight:
My experiences were memorable. Alain in particular put himself out in order to take us around. I drank coffee in the same café with him every morning, we walked ancient battlefields close to where my grandfather had fought in WWI. I visited Reims and to various Champagne Houses and even spent an afternoon picking grapes in the vineyards of Champagne with my daughter. This might not have been exactly what Eurolingua had in mind, but it was exactly what I wanted. I astounded my French when I got back after only three weeks.

Olivia’s home was well located, close to the airport and are excellent transport links into the city centre. As she’s from Bolivia, her accent was interesting. She tailored the class specifically to my needs and also made sure the food was suitable for me too as I’m vegan. Totally recommend her to all the students.

What could be improved:
It would have been helpful if I had known the following before departure: 1] entrance to exhibits and sites of interest are not included in the course fees; 2] who the household members are; 3] where is it possible to change currency; 4] what kind of clothes to bring; 5] are there services nearby, e.g. convenience shops, churches, banks, etc.
