European Union Law is a distance learning programme covering a wide range of important EU Law topics, such as free movement of goods and people, social policy, external relations and judicial review. You will gain in-depth and up-to-date knowledge of the most important theoretical and practical aspects of EU law, with a particular emphasis on the Treaties of the European Union. This programme is almost exclusively studies by professionals alongside their work commitments.
Please note that the MA (second) is only available for application once the Postgraduate Diploma has been completed at Merit level.

Course programme

Year 1 Courses are divided into modules. You will normally take:
• PG Diploma - modules totalling 120 credits
• MA – modules totalling 180 credits Required Modules

PG Diploma
You are required to take the following modules:

  • Introduction to Internal Market 1 (40 Credits)
  • Internal Market 2 and Substantive Policies 1 (40 Credits)
  • Substantive Policies 2 and Procedural Aspects (40 Credits)

MA
You are required to take the following module:

  • Dissertation (60 credits)
