Course programme

From colonial expansion to revolutions and recessions, the art market has always reflected social and economic trends operating within the world at large.

This course examines market shifts throughout history, as well as exploring issues such as economies of scale, the fluctuating performance of different kinds of artwork and the impact of the current financial climate on the development of the global art market.

The course is led by Dr. Iain Robertson, Head of Art Business Studies at Sotheby's Institute of Art - London.
