I have started studying at Kogan Academy following their evening course. This part time course had exactly what I was looking for and I found it to be the most complete course in London! Teachers help me a lot during my studies and convinced me that I could become a professional actor! Is thanks to them if I decided to enroll on the supplementary Directing course and the training I received was amazing! Thanks to this incredible experience I become a much better actor and director and I also learnt a lot about myself. I would absolutely recommend the Kogan Academy of Dramatic Arts to anyone who is even remotely interested in learning how to act and direct!

I have started studying at Kogan Academy following their evening course. This part time course had exactly what I was looking for and I found it to be the most complete course in London! Teachers help me a lot during my studies and convinced me that I could become a professional actor! Is thanks to them if I decided to enroll on the supplementary Directing course and the training I received was amazing! Thanks to this incredible experience I become a much better actor and director and I also learnt a lot about myself. Did my makeup course as part of my level 2 at the cottage training centre ancd have found Kim at the cottage very professional, helpful, friendly and a very easy learning experience in a lovely atmospere, make by jane arndele and is an excellent product with a days training from Steve one of Janes makeup artist.

Jeff has a very relaxed style and made everyone feel very welcome and at ease. The course was very interactive and had a good balance between practical and 'class' based input. For me personally the highlight was the photo shoot, the opportunity to photograph the bride and groom (models) in slow time. Taking time to learn and practice lighting and posing techniques without the pressure of a real event.

I recommend this course, for someone who has been out of photography for 20 years I found the experience and information invaluable as part of a fast-track back into the business. There's no substitute for actually being in a situation photographing a bride and groom in a typical location and having to deal with constantly changing light, and a different range of interiors. This course left me feeling a lot more confident about my future.
I also recommend the center. Jeff is very communicative and answered all my questions. He's very enthusiastic about his craft and it definitely rubs off. There's was so much information it was difficult at times to take it all in, but when asked he was willing to go back over certain things and even demonstrate. Also, a lovely buffet lunch was provided along with coffee and biscuits morning and afternoon which was welcome after all the hard work we had been doing.← | → -

The second day was a group critique which I found very useful, especially seeing how the other students processed their pictures as it gave me ideas to take away and try for myself. Processing with Photoshop was covered and although I was pretty confident with this editor it made me go away and try other things - as a result my processing skills have improved. Some of the business side of things was also covered, which is equally if not more important than the actual photographing. All in all it was a very worthwhile course.

Having already done a 2 year Makeup course in a local college I felt I didnt learn enough skills to make it confidently into the industry therefore i decided to go to The school of Makeup and get what you pay for. The knowledge and skill set you need in order to make it in the industry and be professional. The course is definately value for money and worth every penny. The tutors are absolutely fantastic and are there to teach as well as help, support and guide you down the right path to get the makeup career you have always wanted! Each tutor has expertise within the makeup field. Elaine the school principle is absolutely fantastic! You couldnt ask for a better mentor. Shes knows everything about the industry and there isnt a question she couldn't answer. She has created a school which has a friendly and family atmosphere and you always have the support if needed even after you have finished the course.I can honestly say you cant get a better school with the skill base this one has to offer within the North West or be it England.I have loved being part of the school and I am happy I did the course to get me to where i am now.
If you are serious in becoming a makeup artist then this course is what you need, it has everything all rolled into one.

This school is one of the best for media make-up and hair, as you are taught by some of the best professionals within the industry.The venue of the school is brilliant, its in a lovely old mill down a small cobbled street. inside is highly modern, stylish and inspiring to work and learn in. there are learing equipment such as books for reference and access to computers within the common room of the school. The students have their own area to hang out at dinner, look on the web and their own kitchen. Everything is there that you need for the course. All Makeup is provided whilst learning so you dont need to use the ones in the kit which is given. Everything you could possibly need is at the school. The students have their own area to hang out at dinner, look on the web and their own kitchen. Everything is there that you need for the course. All Makeup is provided whilst learning so you dont need to use the ones in the kit which is given. Everything you could possibly need is at the school.
