Career opportunities reflect the diverse nature of the events industry. Employment opportunities range from multi national companies operating on a global basis through to entrepreneurs with their own events consultancy business.

There is potential for rapid advancement in the public, private and voluntary sectors with careers in such areas as events management and planning, events consultancy, marketing and public relations, events support and conference / exhibition venue management.

Placement Information
Employers are looking to recruit staff with the right combination of skills, experience and specialised knowledge. Irrespective of which level you study, you will be at a major advantage when applying for a job if you have had some real experience of the working environment.

You will gain exposure to the events industry through a mix of field visits, case studies, live project work and through the planning of a live event in year 2.

The Professional Events Practice module offers students the opportunity to gain practical experience in the events industry and to gain academic credit for their learning experience. The University College's Industrial Placement Centre will support students in securing appropriate experience.
