On this course, you will learn the main key components of Excel for use in the office or at home. You will get to grips with the concepts, terms and functions of spreadsheets including entering data, changing the font, colour, size and style of your worksheeet, entering and deleting a column, row or sheet, using headers and footers, using common formulae and performing calculations such as Sum, Average, Minimum, Maximum, Count and If functions. You will also learn how to work on multiple sheets simultaneously, link across sheets and other applications such as Word.

You will need to bring a pen and paper and a folder for your notes.
Each student has their own computer and you will be encouraged to practice as much as possible. An interactive whiteboard will help make demonstrations easy to understand. It will be a relaxed learning environment and step by step learning will help you become more skilled. You will have lots of opportunities to ask questions and address areas you need help in.
