About this course
Students must be aged 18 or older in order to apply for this qualification. Participation in group exercise classes prior to attending this course is essential. Students are also required to hold a current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certificate (CPR) before the qualification can be awarded. Students who do not currently hold a CPR certificate will have the opportunity to enrol on an Executive Fitness Careers CPR course.

The Exercise to Music Module is the first step to a rewarding career as an aerobics instructor. Graduates of this course will often seek employment as a freelance instructor in health clubs, local authority sports centres or set up their own classes in community halls. This course will give students the essential skills necessary to plan, choreograph and teach safe, effective and enjoyable classes to a range of participants.

Course Format
The Exercise to Music Instructor Module is a blended distance-learning program. After studying the theoretical elements of the course via the home study workbooks for 12 weeks, students are required to attend practical training and assessment workshops spread over 6 days, plus an additional final assessment day approximately 2 weeks later. It will be necessary to bring two friends/colleagues along to the final assessment day to act as participants.
Assessment- Complete a 1 hour multiple choice theory paper
- Complete health & safety and customer care worksheets
- Plan, teach and evaluate a 60 minute exercise to music class
- Provide evidence of current CPR certification
