Public health, exercise and nutrition practitioners designed this course in collaboration with our academics. This makes the course ideal for those who are interested in the factors that influence our health. You will concentrate on the roles of physical activity, exercise and nutrition in the prevention and management of disease. Crucial topics, such as the public health system and communication skills, are also integrated into this course.
This exercise, nutrition and health degree aims to provide you with the knowledge, understanding, skills and attributes to allow you to improve the health of individuals, groups, communities and populations using:
exercise
physical activity
nutrition
healthy eating.
You'll learn the fundamentals of exercise and nutrition science and how they relate to health and disease. Alongside this, we will ensure that you can apply this knowledge in a public health setting so you will learn about:
the UK public health system
the strategies in place to promote health using exercise
physical activity and nutrition
how to monitor and evaluate these.

What are we looking for?
A-levels – BBC, including Physical Education or a Science subject and excluding Critical Thinking and General Studies; or
BTEC Extended Diploma* – DMM, including relevant Physical Education or Science modules; or
112 UCAS Tariff points from three A-levels or equivalent qualifications, including an A-level equivalent in Physical Education or a Science subject and excluding Critical Thinking and General Studies; and
GCSEs – English, Maths and two sciences at grade C/4.
