3 Weeks
This three-week intensive studio-based programme will help you question and explore the role of drawing in your practice.
You'll work alongisde artists and creatives from various disciplines to produce work in a communal studio.
This is much more than a 'drawing' course - it has a conceptual/contextual underpinning but is still focused on the act of making. You'll use drawing-related ideas and processes as a starting point for both critical dialogue and your own artistic output.
Most of your time will be spent in the studio, where you'll develop and test your own work and experiment with different mediums and techniques.
The Slade's generous studio spaces let you explore ambitious projects that might not otherwise be possible, culminating in a final exhibition.
There will be a mix of tutor-led projects, one-to-one tutorials, group discussions, gallery visits, workshops and lectures.
The course runs from 9.30am to 4.30pm each day. You'll also have the option of attending extra-curricular events such as talks and exhibitions on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings.
