About this course
- Chart the history of experimental and postmodern music from Satie to the present day.
- You will also learn some key concepts and aesthetic ideas associated with this kind of work as well as lots of repertoire
- Feel confident undertaking further reading and listening of related works
- Be able to critically engage with music journalism in this field (e.g. concert reviews, composer biographies).
Please bring a notebook and pen.
You may wish to buy some of the music or books recommended in class.
