This workshop will introduce you not only to interesting historical, economic and cultural aspects of Amsterdam, but will also give you a range of fun and interesting things to do and see in its different neighbourhoods. It will offer a great number of useful tips for those who wish to visit The Netherlands, and specifically Amsterdam, and for those who are interested in anything Dutch. And last but not least, in this workshop there is ample opportunity for Q & A.

About this course

- better understand Amsterdam and to a certain extend Dutch history and culture in general
- have some (new) Dutch phrases and words in your vocabulary
- plan more appropriately for a trip to Amsterdam and its surrounding region.

Course programme

From history to fun facts, from museums to festivals and cultural celebrations, and from economy and culture to interesting things to see and do in Amsterdam’s different neighborhoods, this workshop covers it all.

The workshop will be conducted in English. An interactive approach will be alternated with lecture-style parts, all supported with audio-visual techniques, pictures and authentic material. No work outside of the class is required.
