About this course

Understand colour theory and the science of seeing
Relate colour theory to your work as an artist/maker
Mix acrylic paint, mix pastels, mix coloured paper
Develop a painted colour swatch chart to take away for future reference
Present a small painting, collage or pastel study based on observed or abstract colour mixing.

An A4 sketchbook is useful. Basic materials included.

You may wish to continue to study colour with particular focus on painting by joining ‘Intensive colour course for painters’ or put your colour skills into practice on ‘Painting 1’, ‘Painting 2’, ‘Printmaking: focus on colour’ or ‘Mixed media drawing and collage’.
