This is a level 3 course in Health and Social Care/ Health Studies with an end result equivalent of 3 A levels and between 120 - 420 UCAS points depending on the grade achieved. The course is designed to cover a range of topics providing you with the knowledge and skills required for employment or further study within the Health or Social Care sectors. The inclusion of mandatory work experience allows you to link theory to practice in a variety of care settings.

The course takes two routes, Health Studies that is designed for students to progress in Nursing, Midwifery and Paramedics; and the Health and Social Care route, designed for students to progress in Social Work, Youth Work and Probation.

The course is assessed by written coursework, practical tasks and includes 100 mandatory placement hours currently completed in block weeks.
Up to 100 hours work experience placement in Health and Social Care sector including Nursing Homes, Nurseries and Schools. Students are encouraged to source their own placements in a field that interests them.
Degrees in Adult Nursing, Paediatric Nursing, Midwifery, Psychology, Sociology, Criminology, Theatre Practitioner, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Paramedic, Youth Work and many more.
