To start the course you need 4 GCSEs (grade A-C) or a Level 2 BTEC Diploma (previously BTEC First Diploma) in a relevant subject and a portfolio of work.

There are no exams on this course. Assessment is continuous and based on completion of individual projects.

After you have successfully completed this course you can progress onto the Foundation Degree in Fashion and Textiles or enter employment in areas such as fashion, textiles, costume design, buying, pattern cutting, styling and textile manufacturing.
