Have you ever wondered who decides what clothes to sell and how this affects the success of a retail company? These important decisions and many others are down to the buyer.
In this fashion buying course you’ll examine the key characteristics of a buyer as well as their relationship with the merchandiser and designer.
You’ll look at different approaches to researching the market and consumers and how this dictates the current trends and ranges in stores.
You’ll also be introduced to how buyers approach range planning and have the opportunity to create your own range plan. The course will also cover hints and tips on how to become a fashion buyer and outline different ways to find an internship.
The course will be taught through a series of lectures and group exercises and also includes a field trip to local stores.
