Spend a fun and intensive day learning to make your own unique fashion jewellery. Excellent class for anyone wanting to work in fashion jewellery, set up a jewellery business or make fashion pieces for yourself!
Taught by Sarah Fiorenza, who has designed jewellery for many high street stores including, River Island, Mikey, Miss Selfridge, Tesco, Next and Oasis as well as creating ranges for the French companies Camaieu and Promod. Spend the day exploring the world of fashion and working with a range of materials including, fabrics, beads metal and much more. You will begin the day with making a 'mood board' which will encourage you to focus on design, colours and style, following this you will make some fashion jewellery using a range or beads, buttons, ribbons, fabric, chain etc.
Techniques covered in this class include:
- Designing and creting a mood board
- Extracting inspiration from a range of sources and collecting these into your pieces
- Using a range of materials to make your fashion jewellery pieces
And much more.
Whether you want to make jewellery as a hobby or take it further as a home business this is a great class for everyone and covers all of the basics so that you can continue to make beautiful and professional jewellery from home.
The day runs from 10am-5pm and we fit in lots of projects so that you really get value for money out of the day, most students make at least 2-3 pieces of finished jewellery to take home and no previous experience is necessary, you will be surprised what you can achieve.
What you need to bring to this class:
For this class you don't need to bring anything but yourself as everything is provided. But if you have any ideas, pictures etc. please bring them along with you or perhaps pieces of fashion jewellery you have or like so that we can help develop ideas from there.
General Info: As with all of our classes, all materials are included in the cost of the class as well as plenty of tea coffee and luxury biscuits! The classes are all run by expert tutors with years of professional experience who are friendly, knowledgeable and approachable. The size of the classes is kept small to allow plenty of one-on-one attention and the maximum number of students for this class is 8.
We take an hour break for lunch and there are plenty of local shops to get food from, or you can always bring a packed lunch to eat in the studio. If you have any questions regarding this, or other courses please don't hesitate to get in touch.
