Fashion Supply Chain Management 15 credit module, Level 5 Supply chains are vitally important to the fashion and textile industries, and this course gives you an insight into how they are run in this fast moving world. Course aims The aim of the course is to develop an understanding of supply chains and their operation in the fashion and textile industry. You will develop an appreciation of contemporary practice in supply chains within these industries. Summary By the end of the course you will have developed an understanding in: The supply of textile products Supply chain management The concept of fast fashion Logistics and stock management. Objectives On successful completion of this course you will be able to: Demonstrate an ability to make justifiable decisions based on commercial information Demonstrate an awareness of the scope of supply chain management within the context of the textile industry and be able to demonstrate the practical application of this knowledge Demonstrate the ability to research commercial practice and compare this with theoretical concepts. Those wishing to gain an introduction into supply chain management in the fashion and textile industry. No prior knowledge is required. This course is aimed at individuals rather than groups. Course delivery Two hour lecture per week, plus tutorial opportunities.
