Course programme
The Fast Track course enables students to access Level one and Level two modules from the therapy and science degree courses at half the module fee and work through the materials in their own time via audio-visual access. There are further financial incentives as described under course fees (See separate Fees Sheet) for Fast Track students who commit to paying Fast Track fees in advance and completing the course within an agreed time-frame. Communication Skills, Therapeutic Coaching and components of Clinical Skills will require attendance.
Communication Skills and Therapeutic Coaching are NLP modules. There is an option to take a 2-day Top-Up (see course details below) to be externally verified as a having met the standard to register professionally with ANLP
On completion of the Fast Track, students can choose one of the following:
- register for the final year of the BSc (Hons) Nutritional Therapy
- register for the final year of the BSc (Hons) Nutritional Science
- transfer to postgraduate nutritional therapy studies, leading to a Masters degree with a combined Practitioner Development course.
Students who are most likely to register for the final year of the nutritional therapy degree course are those that already have a Masters degree, PhD or medical qualification, as a higher award is not needed. The quickest and most economical route is to transfer to the nutritional therapy degree course for such students. Nutritional therapy diploma holders may also prefer to transfer to the final year of the nutritional therapy degree course.
Those students with a first science or health science degree are most likely to transfer to postgraduate nutritional therapy studies with a combined Practitioner Development course, as this route enables such students to gain a higher qualification. Nutritional therapy diploma holders with two or more years clinical experience may also apply for this route to qualification.
