This course is intended to instruct you on the installation and use of IBM InfoSphere Optim Performance Manager Extended Edition and includes hands-on labs. You should be able to describe the features and key components of IBM InfoSphere Optim Performance Manager Extended Edition. Preliminary steps, including sizing for hardware and software are also taught. Detailed use of the various dashboards are covered, using several problem scenarios. Maintenance and troubleshooting techniques will be addressed, as well as the method to work with technical support.

This basic course is developed for Federation Server Version 9.5. Learn Federation concepts and describes how to configure a federated database for accessing relational and non-relational data sources. Configuration involves defining wrappers, servers, and nicknames for linking to remote data sources. This course discusses access to both relational and non-relational data sources.

You should have:


Basic knowledge of relational database administration for an RDBMS such as DB2, Oracle, or SQL Server
Knowledge of SQL
Knowledge of how relational databases are used within a business
