This course is not suitable for individuals who have not successfully completed the CompTIA A+ or similar level IT Support course. It is still possible to complete the course without these qualificaitons provided applicants have a keen interest in the subject and current work experience within the area and are looking for certification.

The CompTIA Network + certificate provides an overview of the OSI model, network components, basic installation and troubleshooting covering many aspects of Media and topologies, protocols and standards, network implementation and network support. Full course objectives can be found at:
Natural progression from this course would be to the CompTIA Server+ or Microsoft Specialist qualifications i.e. MCP and MCSE or to the CISCO Certified Network Academy (CCNA) for those who would prefer to specialise in CISCO Networking. The compTIA N+ counts as a unit of credit towards MCSE.
