Final Cut Pro - Advanced

Looks at use of high end editing tools and techniques. Final Cut 7.

By the end of the course the students will be able to:

Have a deeper understanding of the Final Cut Studio suite of software.
Understand how FCP7 deals with different video file formats including High Definition workflows.
Use more advanced editing tools
Have an understanding of the "Round tripping" of footage through the studio applications.
Deal with colour correction in FCP.
Use keyframing with filters.
Use final cut's sound editing tools and soundtrack pro to remove hiss/hum from footage.
Perform a multi-clip edit.
Create a "play only" DVD using DVD Studio Pro.
Use Compressor to export footage for YouTube and have a basic understanding of how to customise the encoding process.
