The union is really great in planning nightouts etc.The standard of lectures are good but some modules are better than others. The placements at Loughborough really sets it apart from other universities. Sports at loughborough is really commendable.

Overview
Our MSc Finance programme is an applied, broad-based master’s degree that will equip you with the knowledge and skills to work in a wide range of finance roles.
Finance MSc is best suited to students who wish to gain an in-depth understanding of the whole field of finance before choosing their preferred area of specialisation. You will learn both how to evaluate financial issues and to improve the practice of finance.
Our Finance MSc programme will give you an understanding of corporate finance topics such as cost of capital and dividend policy, as well as investment topics such as asset pricing and portfolio selection. You can also gain an understanding of international finance by selecting optional modules in international financial management, global financial markets and/or global investment analysis.
You will be taught by internationally renowned academics who are able to bring fresh insights into their teaching; both from their research, and their advisory roles on government policy and in industry. Research strengths include Financial Markets, Corporate Finance, Accounting and Investments. Teaching is academically rigorous and strong emphasis is placed on practical relevance.
Finance MSc shares a common taught first semester with MSc Corporate Finance and MSc Finance & Investment. It provides flexibility in semesters two and three to choose from a wide range of options including those in Corporate Finance, Investment and International Finance.
MSc Finance is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA); the world's largest body of management accountants. It offers at least 6 exemptions from CIMA's professional examinations. This is strong recognition of the professional relevance of this programme for students wishing to work in the Finance function of a business or multinational organisation.
