Finance for the Non-Financial Managers

Introduction
More and more managers from a range of functions are becoming involved in the preparation and control of budgets. To carry this out effectively managers need to be able to read, understand and prepare accurate financial information based on accounting principles.

Course Content

• The impact of financial management on business performance
• Understand some of the major aspects of accounting and the difference between financial and management accounting
• Understanding balance sheets, profit & loss and depreciation
• Understand budget management, forecasting and variance analysis
• How to take corrective action

Where appropriate an organisation's own financial documents will be used during the training for exercises and activities

Suitability

Those individuals who have, or are likely to have a responsibility for a cost centre within their job role whilst it not being the main element of their role.
