Deborah started her professional career in Corporate Finance gaining wide ranging experience in a variety of corporates and financial institutions.

Course Modules:
  • Getting to grips with the terminology – what does the financial jargon actually mean? Terms such as EBIT, gearing, capital expenditure, working capital and others will be clearly explained in context
  • Review of the basic financial statements – profit and loss account, balance sheet, cash flow
  • What non-financial drivers are essential to understand the context in which to assess a company’s performance, numbers on their own are useless!
  • Understanding how three equally important elements are illustrated by the financial statements, profits, cash flow and funding
  • What are the key messages and how do they help with making decisions
  • How good management reporting enables an organisation to achieve its strategic goals
