Coursework projects allow you to explore your ideas in real depth. You will learn new skills, experiment with materials, develop creatively and investigate the work of other artists in well equipped specialist studios guided by experienced and supportive tutors who are also practising artists. Examples of project titles include ‘Transformations’, and ‘Journeys’. Within these broad themes, students develop personal interests and pursue them with commitment and focus.

As you develop, individual subjects of study are negotiated between student and tutor. In the second half of Year Two, an externally set assignment allows you to demonstrate your ability to record observations, respond to the work of other artists, develop ideas and produce your own work at a high level.
