The finishing worker is a worker who deals with the finishing process, i.e. treatments carried out to improve the characteristics of the fabric. It is applied to pieces already woven and removed from the loom, to knitted and jersey fabrics. Some operations alter the structure of the fabrics to bring about qualitative improvements, others bring about superficial modifications to make them more pleasant appearance or adapt it to the needs of fashion. There are various types of treatment, the ennobling ones try to make materials that are not of quality appear of superior quality, such as eco-leather. They are carried out by specialized firms with highly sophisticated machinery and technologies. The finishing processes are carried out with mechanical actions, chemicals, resins or silicones in the form of microfilm, or with a combination of the above methods. These operations make it possible to guarantee the quality of the final products and therefore become a fundamental step for the clothing sector, from everyday to high fashion Made in Italy and abroad.
