Course programme

The following subjects will be covered, and the course culminates with a question paper.

  • Know the responsibilities of the Fire Marshal
  • Recognise active fire prevention measures
  • Know the fire triangle and how fires start
  • Know the actions to be taken in the event of a fire
  • Know the Fire Marshals role in the event of a fire
  • Selection and operation of the appropriate extinguisher

Successful candidates will receive a certificate outlining the objectives of the training day, practical fire fighting and date of issue.

All certification is serial numbered and a 3 year renewal date is implemented on completion of training.
