This course is designed for employees who have taken on the role of Fire Warden or Fire Marshal. The training meets the requirements under the Fire Safety Legislation (NI) 2010. All businesses should have designated staff, trained as fire wardens or marshals, who assist the appropriate person in the business in providing fire safety assistance in the event of an emergency. Appointing and training Fire Wardens will significantly improve fire prevention practices and therefore improve communications and share the work load in the implementation of good fire safety management. This programme will give delegates the knowledge on how to act and respond in the event of a work-based fire. It will also give delegates an opportunity to relate to fire safety in an organisation and understand the role and function of a fire warden.
